Esteemed FMCG major seeks a high-achieving direct procurement expert to enter a leadership position in their rapidly growing procurement team. Managing a critical spend area for the organisation within a brownfield procurement function, the successful individual will be tasked with unifying a stakeholder base to deliver long-term benefits whilst being the driving force for procurement.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to utilise their Directs FMCG procurement expertise within a growing and transforming procurement function in a highly esteemed organisation
As Packaging & Food Category Lead you will: –
- Using your Food & Packaging subject matter expertise to execute seamless and integrated strategic sourcing processes within QSR spend categories
- Autonomy throughout the cradle to grave procurement and deal-making process for large-scale and high sub-categories
- Work closely with stakeholders across NPD, Marketing & Finance to provide cross-functional alignment
- Using your Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills to manage marke suppliers / vendors
- Seeking out opportunities to drive creativity and innovation within each Sourcing project
- Establishing and cultivating key stakeholder relationships to ensure necessary buy in and support for strategic sourcing and category management processes / projects
Required procurement experience, skills & experience: –
- Significant purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing & category management experience
- QSR Industry experience required
- Experience in sourcing for Beef, Sodas and Poultry Ideal
- Strong Food and/or packaging experience required
- Excellent stakeholder influencing and relationship management skills
- Degree, MCIPS and Prince 2 qualifications preferred but not essential
