Ludhiana: A prize distribution function of the primary wing was organised at RS Model Senior Secondary School to reward the excellence of tiny tots during the session 2018-2019. The Director Academics ML Kalra was the chief guest and Asha Pahuja, the Principal, was the guest of honour. The cultural programme was started with the lamp lighting. The function commenced with prayer of Almighty by our tiny tots. The prizes were given away to the position holders of the class LKG to Class V who secured first, second, third positions during academic session 2018-19. Nargis, the student of class V got an all rounder award where as Riya, the student of class V received the best actor award. The tiny tots of primary wing enthralled the audience with their marvellous performance. The parents enjoyed each moment of the function. The best performers of the other activities were also honoured.
Students take part in Walkathon
Atam Devki Niketan, Kidwai Nagar, organised a walkathon on Saturday amid great zeal. Students took out a rally to create awareness among people on plastic ban, say no to drugs, Clean India Green India and about fitness of our body. Carrying banners,placards, the students took out the rally from ADN via Hanuman mandir,Hargobindnagar, Baba ThaansinghChowk,JainPublic School and passing through CMC and St Thomas Road. This rally was joined by the school management committee members. The students displayed banners and placards emphasising the need for a collective endeavour to eradicate the plastic bags usage in the city and make a plastic-free city. The students carried broomsticks and garbage bags with them to clean up trash all around the surrounding areas. TNS
