A defense minister said Poland is set to finalize an agreement to buy 32 units of the Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft from the U.S. government in late January, Defense News reported Thursday.

Mariusz Blaszczak, defense minister of Poland, told a local radio station Wednesday that talks over the F-35 deal “are almost complete” and that the European country expects to receive the first units of the fighter jet in 2024.

Sources familiar with the transaction said Poland’s F-35 contract could be worth approximately $4B, including training and logistics support.
