Podcast | It’s Story Time in Supply Chain Land! | 2022-01-06

Megan Preston Meyer was enjoying a highly successful career as a supply chain expert for numerous companies, moving from her beginnings in operations management to complex analytics. Something was missing, though — what she calls “the stories that data doesn’t tell.” In a flash of inspiration, Meyer turned her talents to the writing of a series of children’s books that explain the discipline of supply chain, featuring the characters of Supply Jane and her loyal dog Fifo. Together they help solve knotty supply chain problems such as how to address aging inventory. In the process, kids learn business concepts, problem solving, critical thinking and entrepreneurship. On this episode, Meyers explains her journey from the business world to that of children’s literature, combining education with entertainment for a whole new audience. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.

Show notes:

Fifo Saves the Day, first in the Supply Chain Jane and Fifo series.
