Pleasant Township will have cleanup day on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Township municipal building at 8 Chari Lane.

The fees will be $10 per car, $15 per pick-up truck, and anything bigger than a pick-up truck will be $25. Driver’s licenses will be check to verify township residency. Prohibited items are: household garbage, shingles or similar roofing material, tires, hazardous materials such as chemicals, biohazards, paints, thinners, and electronics. Car batteries, scrap metals and used motor oil are acceptable and will be collected separately. All gasses/chemicals must be removed from refrigerators, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers. The Pleasant Volunteer Firemen will plan to assist and accept donations for the Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department.

Also, Pleasant Township will no longer be offering recycling after August 10 due to the cost and misuse of the recycling bins. Your local waste management provider should be able to assist with any disposal of material, and questions or concerns about the countywide recycling program can be addressed by the Warren County Commissioners.
