MUSC Physicians, formally known as University Medical Associates, is the physician group of the MUSC Medical Center, providing services ranging from prevention and wellness to highly specialized care at outpatient clinics and facilities both on the MUSC campus and extending into the community. MUSC Physicians has the widest range of specialty care available at any medical center in South Carolina.
Central Procurement provides and ensures that these outpatient clinics have what they need to provide excellent patient care. Central Procurement supports supply flow to the clinics from ordering, receiving and delivering to the departments in our larger multispecialty buildings. Medical supply contracting and negotiations as well as the movement of products through supply related systems are other areas of coverage by the Central Procurement group of MUSC Physicians.
