A permit application for a FedEx distribution facility has been submitted to Horry County.

A permit application for a FedEx distribution facility has been submitted to Horry County. It’s for a 250,00 sq. ft. facility that would go in the area of Fantasy Harbor near the Highway 501 and George Bishop Parkway that was formerly left vacant by the Freestyle Music Park in 2009. Efforts to make use of that property have been ongoing.  Last summer, the Horry County Planning Commission approved the rezoning that allows  it to be used for warehousing and distribution.  According to the application filed, The FedEx facility would cost about $12.3 million in construction costs.
