Job Profile:

The Pelican Brewery Sales Team is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our beer sales team to pursue an engaging & purposeful career opportunity.  This position will represent our brand with great pride, serving as an ambassador for the Pelican brand, building and maintaining strong relationships with our distributors and wholesalers.  

As the Brewery Sales Rep for The Portland Region you will show off your passion and knowledge about craft beer and have fun planning and participating in various promotional events 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years sales experience in craft beer or similar industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively;
  • Strong problem solving skills – Independent, reliable, and self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
  • Active listening – Ability to understand your retailer by listening to their needs and filling those needs
  • Inner drive – You like pursuing new accounts while maintaining strong customer service with current accounts.
  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales goals.  
  • Highly social. You enjoy working with and meeting new people.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekend and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO DESIGNATED TERRRITORY (Portland)

 

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with both distributors and accounts
  • Show off your passion and knowledge about craft beer and have fun planning and participating in various promotional events such as tap takeovers and brewfests. Attend networking events, socialize with clients, frequently visit clients at their business to check in, etc.
  • Enjoy building strong relationships and taking care of each individual customer. Partner with wholesalers and distributors.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and tap into your earning potential.
  • Analyze current accounts and potential new accounts in your market. Create and implement your sales strategy.
  • Maintain a sales budget, track inventory and orders of wholesale partners
  • Understand and embrace the Pelican Brewery company philosophy and core values
