JACKSON COUNTY, MI — A discharge of partially-treated wastewater from the Leoni Township Wastewater Treatment Plant was announced Friday.
At about 12 p.m. on Jan. 14, treatment plant operators began blending partially-treated wastewater with the facility’s treated effluent, according to a news release from F&V Operations and Resource Management.
All effluent is receiving disinfection treatment before being discharged into the Grand River, officials said. The rate of discharge is about 400 gallons per minute, officials said.
Questions or concerns can be directed to F&V Group Manager Blair Selover at 616-588-1924.
