Julia Mitchell, 37, 391 Morris Bankston Road, Meridian, was arrested and charged with two felony charges of possession with intent to distribute and one misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
The pair was arrested at the intersection of Road 781 and Road 2826 in the North Bend Community on Saturday evening around 5 p.m. after deputies made a traffic stop on Copeland, who was driving, for running a top sign and not wearing a seatbelt, Sheriff Eric Clark said.
He said when the deputies approached the vehicle that a substance believed to be methamphetamine was in plain view and that more was found in a small black container.
A further search of the vehicle and the suspects found a felony amount of hydrocodone pills packaged for distribution and a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.
Both suspects remain in custody.
