This year, Odisha has seen a jump in the number of farmers participating in the paddy procurement process. The state has seen a jump of almost 3lakh additional registration by the farmers for paddy procurement.
In 2019-20, a total of 12.35 lakh farmers of Odisha had registered while the number stands at 14.97 lakh in 2020-21.
The kharif season procurement process is set to begin from November 1.
