Pac-12 Networks, the collegiate athletic conference’s in-house TV and multimedia company, has secured a distribution deal with US over-the-top (OTT) streaming service Vidgo.

The partnership will see Pac-12 Network, the National Collegiate Athletic Association-sanctioned (NCAA) conference’s flagship national channel, be made available as part of Vidgo’s ‘Core’ package, which provides sports coverage from the likes of ESPN and BeIN Sports for U$39.99 per month.

Subscribers to Vidgo’s ‘Plus’ package, which costs an additional US$10 a month, will also gain access to all seven Pac-12 Networks channels, including six regional networks.

Starting immediately, the deal gives Vidgo subscribers access to more than 100 Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball games through the end of the season, including both champion-crowning basketball tournaments in Las Vegas.

“As an emerging player in the OTT space, we are very excited to partner with Vidgo and make Pac-12 Networks available to all of their subscribers,” said Henry Watson, Pac-12 Networks vice president of distribution and partner marketing. “Given their strong sports portfolio, Pac-12 Networks is an excellent complement to Vidgo’s comprehensive professional and collegiate sports offerings.”

Vidgo is the latest OTT or cable provider to secure a distribution deal with Pac-12 Networks, joining the likes of Comcast/Xfinity, Charter/Spectrum, Cox, Dish, FuboTV, TVision, Frontier and Sling TV.

Shane Cannon, Vidgo’s chief executive, added: “With the addition of Pac-12 Networks, Vidgo now offers subscribers access to almost every major collegiate sports network at one of the most affordable rates in the market.”

Meanwhile, Pac-12 has also announced a multi-year extension and expansion of its partnership with retail gas brand 76.

The deal will see 76 continue as the presenting sponsor of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game until 2023, retaining a designation it has held since 2016. The new contract will also see the company become an official sponsor of the men’s basketball tournament from 2021 through 2024.

Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said: “Through their innovative marketing and fan engagement activities, 76 has played an important role in driving the success of our Pac-12 Football Championship Game, and we look forward to their continued and expanded support of the Pac-12.”
