Otis has relocated and upgraded its escalator factory to Haining, Zhejiang Province, from southern China on Wednesday.
The upgraded factory features more high-tech and smart manufacturing, including 3D simulation design, customized technology, and real-time quality monitoring.
“The settlement of Otis’ advanced escalator factory in Haining will contribute to the city’s industry,” Deputy Mayor of Haining Pu Xinda said.
“Escalators are one of our core products and our escalator factory in China serves global markets. The upgraded Otis escalator factory shows our confidence in the China market,” said Otis China President Perry Zheng.
