Nissan halts production as major quake disrupts supply chain

 

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. planned to suspend production at its Oppama and Shonan factories in Japan on Feb. 22 and 23 due to parts shortage resulting from the recent 7.3-magnitude earthquake, Just Auto reported. The earthquake, which struck northeastern Japan on Feb. 13, damaged plants of some of Nissan’s key parts suppliers.
