Nike Factory Store closes St. Matthews location

The Nike Factory Store has closed in Shelbyville Road Plaza, Louisville Business First reports.The shopping center, located at 4600 Shelbyville Road, is managed by Hagan Properties. Tommy Edwards, retail director for Hagan Properties, said in a phone call Friday that Nike had a 10-year lease at the retail center, which ends Jan. 31.He said every time a contract is up, the firm reconsiders what’s best for the shopping center. With three other businesses there carrying Nike products — Off Broadway Shoes, Nordstrom Rack and Ross Dress for Less —they decided not to renew Nike’s contract in order to avoid redundancies.Read more on this story from Louisville Business First.
