Night Shift Brewing

Night Shift Brewing is looking for a Brand Manager to help us fully realize the Power of The Owl. We’re proud to have a recognizable, really cool (sure, we may be biased!) brand, and we need a talented marketing professional who is up to the challenge of owning its growth.
We’re looking for an ideas person, who brings original concepts to the table and isn’t afraid to think outside the box. You’re also not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive in to execute those concepts, and are always looking towards the future. You will serve as the steward of the Owl, ready to figure out where, how, and why it lands next!
We need someone who…
- Is excited to take full ownership of our brand and branded materials with a goal of converting that into increased brand recognition, awareness and ultimately, sales
- Can take charge of growing our brand’s image in current and future markets. If it has an Owl on it (or should have an Owl on it), you own it!
- Excels working across departments to ensure branding is always a consideration at every level of the organization. Can drive results, and influence with (or without!) authority as needed.
- Is a “do-er” and a “thinker”. You can conceptualize just as well as you can implement someone else’s ideas.
- Loves a challenge and has a track record of producing results in organizations with limited resources
- Is able to balance urgency with accuracy while driving progress forward
- Has the ability to go with the flow and manage through change while continuing to drive results
- Would thrive in a challenging but empowering role!
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Night Shift remains relevant, attractive, and exciting to existing and prospective customers by staying on top of market and industry trends
- Evaluate and improve upon existing brand strategy, conduct applicable market research to determine effectiveness and recommend changes as appropriate
- Partner with Senior Leadership to develop a long-term strategic vision for the brand; ensure that vision is carried through all sales and marketing activities
- Develop annual marketing plans for new and existing products based on sound market research, consumer insights, and market analyses
- Work closely with design team to ensure all packaging is representative of current and evolving brand strategy
- Develop communication and consumer touch points (packaging, POS, retail programming, digital/social, print, radio, and other) to ensure that we are communicating with the right consumers effectively
- Partner with the sales organization, distribution partners, and other stakeholders to pursue and vet all sponsorship opportunities, events, festivals, and other strategic partnerships
- Optimize wholesaler marketing funds and allowances, including quarterly reporting on efficacy of programming
- Collect and analyze sales and market data regularly; report to Senior Leadership on efficacy of sales and marketing programs for various consumer groups
- Work closely with the sales organization to optimize retail execution and tactical product marketing, with particular focus on selling materials, trade promotions, experiential consumer engagement, POS assortment/optimization and retail program execution
- Other duties as assigned
Key Skills & Experience
- Passion for the craft beer/beverage industry is a huge plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other business discipline required
- 3 – 5 years experience in brand management, effectively driving brands with limited resources
- Experience within the beverage/alcohol or consumer packaged goods industry strongly preferred
- Experience partnering with wholesaler networks, key accounts, chains, and retail outlets
- You’ve “done this before” from start to finish. You weren’t just in the room where the campaigns were born, you played a key role in imagining, developing, and implementing campaigns
- Comfortable living in a digital world; you can use social media, websites, and other digital media to your benefit
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead cross-functionally, with both internal and external stakeholders
Compensation

About Night Shift
Night Shift Brewing started as a nocturnal hobby for three home-brewing obsessed friends in 2012 out of a small apartment kitchen in Somerville, MA. Since then, Night Shift has grown beyond our wildest dreams. From our state-of-the-art brewing space and Taproom in Everett, to our first restaurant endeavor at Lovejoy Wharf, to starting our own distributing company and beyond, the motto “craft better” is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to provide a wide variety of craft beverages – from beer to seltzer, wine, coffee, and other non-alcoholic beverages, we celebrate being a craft beverage provider where “all styles are welcome”.
