The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors elected Michael Medart chairman of the board of directors during its recent Digital Summit, the organization announced in a statement.
Medart is president and CEO of Medart Engine and Marine in St. Louis.
“Medart Engine and Marine has gained much knowledge and enjoyed the networking and benchmarking opportunities, educational events, best practice thought leadership, and business services that NAW offers,” Medart said in the statement. “I look forward to working with this association and our members in 2021 and contributing to NAW’s ongoing important work for our industry.”
Medart succeeds Douglas W. York of Ewing Irrigation and Landscape Supply, who will serve as immediate past chairman.
Other officers elected include Jeff McLendon, president and CEO of U.S. Lumber, chairman-elect; Michael DeCata, president and CEO of Lawson Products, first vice chairman; Larry Stoddard, president and CEO of RelaDyne, second vice chairman; Kevin Short, president and CEO of ORS Medco, secretary; and Eric Hoplin, president and CEO of NAW.
