MTS sells Virtual Lawyer system to automate procurement document processing

Russian mobile operator MTS has started offering the Virtual Lawyer service, an automated document management system for corporate contracts. The service is based on AI and can perform up to 90 percent of routine legal tasks. It enables the automation of procurement and other legal processes.

The system was designed by the AI centre MTS-Norma. It can recognise and analyse the contents of any legal documents, identify key information provided in those documents and to sort the documents on the basis of this information. The system also monitors and controls processes related to implementing current contracts, spots contracts that are about to expire  and generates relevant messages to be sent to other parties to the contracts.
