MoU signed for procurement of mushroom from SHG

The Jagriti Women Self Help Group (SHG) of Selar village in Bilha block of Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Monday signed a MoU with a private company to buy-sell mushroom in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Baghel was on inspection of Selar Guathan as part of his visit to Bilaspur division. Ganesh Gupta of Dipangi Agro Group signed the MoU with the SHG.

Recently, a Hyderabad based company signed a MoU with Ambikapur-based SHG for procurement of   vermi-compost.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the quality products produced by the SHGs are being accepted widely in the market. It is one of the biggest achievements for SHGs and a step towards self-reliance.

Baghel planted a banyan tree while Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu planted a peepal tree. He urged women to intake more vegetables to keep away anemia and also ensure that children remain healthy.

The Chief Minister later on his two-day visit to Korba starting Monday visited a ‘gauthan’ in village Mohra in Kartala tehsil.
