Manolo Quesada 75th Anniversary Now Shipping

Earlier this year, Manuel “Manolo” Quesada, patriarch and founder of Quesada Cigars, celebrated his 75th birthday and decided to mark three-quarters of a century with a limited-edition cigar called Manolo Quesada 75th. Packaged in boxes of 10, the commemorative cigars are heading to retailers now.

The anniversary smoke is only available in a Churchill, measuring 6 3/4 inches by 48 ring gauge, which is one of Quesada’s go-to sizes. It consists of an Ecuadoran Corojo wrapper, a Dominican binder and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.

The cigars, which have a suggested retail price of $15 each, are made at Quesada’s Tabacos de Exportación Inc. (TABADEX) factory in the Dominican Republic.

Production will be limited to 1,200 boxes.

“I have been very fortunate, and blessed, to have worked in the tobacco world for 63 years, and for 48 years in the cigar manufacturing side of the industry,” said the Cigar Aficionado Hall-of-Famer.
