Mangaluru: DKMU hikes procurement price of milk by Rs 1.70 per litre

Media Release

Mangaluru, Feb 10: Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union (DKMU) has increased the procurement prices of milk by a total of Rs 1.70 per litre. It has considered Rs 1 as the additional price and Rs 0.70 as an incentive to the milk producers. The revised purchase price will remain in force from February 11 to May 31 this year. The decision was taken in the management committee meeting of the union on Wednesday, February 10.

The union had reduced the procurement prices considering the financial condition amid COVID-19. The procurement prices are reinstated to the earlier Rs 28 and Rs 29.70 for 2.5 fat and 8.5 SNF milk respectively.

“The union requests the farmers to make use of this facility, produce quality milk and supply to the union,” stated union president Raviraj Hegde in a press release.
