Malvern Elementary closed Tuesday due to large factory fire

No injuries have been reported due to the blaze.

MALVERN, Ohio — Crews are currently battling a large fire at a factory in Carroll County, which forced one local school to cancel all classes Tuesday.

County dispatchers confirm the blaze broke out at Colfor Manufacturing on Alliance Road around 5:05 a.m. Although no injuries have been reported, the fire is still ongoing.

Due to concerns over smoke in the area and a lack of water pressure, Brown Local Schools has canceled all classes at Malvern Elementary School. Classes at the middle and high schools will still take place, but the middle school bus was delayed until 8 a.m. while high school students were forced to find to find their own way there.
