Malouf™ Bolsters Supply Chain Department to Further Support Retail Partners

LOGAN, Utah—Malouf™ recently announced that it has expanded its supply chain department to include three specialty teams: forecasting, purchasing and inventory, and logistics. The new structure and additional personnel will increase specialization within the department and offer a higher level of service for Malouf™ retail partners.

“As our company continues to grow and expands into more product categories, it becomes increasingly important for us to manage our inventory effectively,” said Jordan Haws, global supply chain director for Malouf™. “That’s one of the main reasons we divided our team into these specialties—so we have subject-matter experts who can consistently drive improvements in specific areas.”

Each specialty team focuses on key steps of the supply chain process. The forecasting team works to understand the product demand, where it comes from, and how it will change throughout the year. This allows Malouf™ to carry out its production plans strategically.

The purchasing and inventory team collaborates with the Malouf™ product research and development team to procure raw materials and ensure a smooth production process. They also help manage appropriate inventory levels and handle fluctuations in demand so Malouf™ can deliver products with minimal disruptions.

Finally, the logistics team focuses on getting fast and reliable service. They negotiate fulfillment rates with freight carriers so Malouf™ can provide same-day shipping through parcel, full truckload (FTL), or less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.
