NEW ORLEANS, La. (AP) — Louisiana blood banks are sponsoring a series of donation efforts in coming days to bolster blood supplies following natural disasters in the state as well as tornadoes that devastated communities in several others.
The Blood Center is encouraging Louisiana residents to donate blood to the Blood Emergency Readiness Corps, WDSU-TV reported.
To donate blood, donors can make an appointment at TheBloodCenter.org, or call 800-86-BLOOD.
