Los Angeles County ranked riskiest place for natural disasters

Los Angeles County ranked the riskiest place for natural disasters. This is according to new study by FEMA.

The organization calculated the risk of natural disasters for every county in the United States.

Out of all 3,000, LA County was ranked the riskiest place.

The national risk index accounts for 18 types of natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires.

However, certain risk rankings were a bit surprising.

For example, cities like New York and Philadelphia ranked higher for tornadoes than places known for them like Kansas and Oklahoma.
