As of 9am on Friday, March 6 there were 29 confirmed cases of coronavirus in London, out of a total now of 164 in the UK.
While current Public Health England (Public Health England) advice is not to close a school , even if there’s been a confirmed case of the virus, many across the capital have closed over the last two weeks, even just for a deep clean.
A number of global companies have also shut their London offices, including Sony , TechHub and even Facebook after workers either tested positive or were suspected to have come into contact with the virus.
So far in the UK two people have died, although PHE are keen to stress that both individuals had underlying health issues.
