Local Company Assists Vaccine Distribution

A manufacturing company in Clearfield County is finding ways to assist in the transport of the COVID-19 Vaccine throughout the Nation. Officials say Gasbarre products, a small company in DuBois, played a major role in the distribution of the Pfizer Vaccine by manufacturing a unique press.

According to Heath Jenkins, President of Gasbarre Products’ Press Division, in a contract with one of their clients, they provided an application for the distribution of the Pfizer Vaccine. He says this client provides vacuum insulated panels that provides high quality insulation and they came to them with an urgent press request. Given that the Pfizer Vaccine needs to be stored at negative 80-60 degrees Celsius, Jenkins says this job was critical. He says Gasbarre Products agreed to the first of the year delivery of the press and despite supply chain delays, they finished the order early. Jenkins says the press they manufactured could be part of the air or auto transport of the Pfizer Vaccine.

Jenkins says he’s unsure if they’ll be making more presses to assist in vaccine distribution in the future.
