The Ministry of Health is considering fining for people who do not self-isolate if required to because of Covid-19.
Speaking at a media conference this afternoon, Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said “several thousand” people who had arrived since the new travel restrictions began at 1am today had gone into self-isolation.
He said there could be spot checks and fines were being considered for those who did not self-isolate.
