The Law Society of England and Wales has elected former Olympics procurement director Gerry Walsh as its interim CEO.

“Gerry Walsh brings a wealth of experience to the Law Society and, working with our existing team, will help maintain continuity and momentum during an important time for the solicitors’ profession,” President I. Stephanie Boyce said.

In addition to serving as the procurement director for the 2012 London Olympics, Walsh was previously an interim chief executive for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. He is a seasoned consultant and senior executive with much experience in infrastructure.
