Keppel Buys 80% Of Singapore Waste Management Co.

By Renee Hickman (August 24, 2022, 4:23 PM EDT) — Affiliates of Singapore-based conglomerate Keppel Corp. on Wednesday reached an agreement to buy an 80% stake in 800 Super Holdings Ltd., which provides waste collection and recycling services in Singapore, in a deal that values the target at SG$380 million (about $273 million).

In a Wednesday statement, Keppel said that 800 Super would be able to unlock its “latent capacity in its waste treatment segment to meet increasing demand in the sector.” The Keppel affiliates making the purchase are Keppel Asia Infrastructure Fund LP, or KAIF, and Keppel Infrastructure Holdings Pte. Ltd.
