KAUMAKANI — Kaumakani village is hosting a food distribution in the Aloha Sweet Delites parking lot today from 9 a.m. until supplies are exhausted.
Headlining the distribution will be the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank, whose Executive Director Kelvin Moniz is a “Kaumakani boy,” his family being residents in Kaumakani village.
“We’re just getting some of the Kaumakani roots people together to do this,” Moniz said.
Judge Randal Valenciano, whose family banded together in honor of Placido and Maria Valenciano to host the previous Kaumakani food distribution in June, said this distribution is “anyone welcome to the drive-thru-only” event.
