Kara Tells What Job She Had When She Met Guillermo

Kara Bass, AKA the “Jill of all trades” of 90 Day Fiancé season 9, was briefly working in the Dominican Republic when she met Guillermo Rojer.

90 Day Fiancé star Kara Bass told her Instagram fans about the job that took her to the Dominican Republic where she met her husband to be Guillermo Rojer. Venezuela native Guillermo was only 21 years old when he bumped into Kara at a restaurant in the D.R. where was working. Kara, who was also there on a work trip, gave Guillermo her number and started chatting with him, when one thing led to another. Being in a serious relationship was unfamiliar territory for party girl Kara, and she may have not expected to move to the D.R. where she would spend eight months living with him, adopt a dog, and even end up engaged to Guillermo.

When Kara was introduced on 90 Day Fiancé, she said her job was to make balloon garlands. The 29-year-old called herself the “Jill of all trades,” but at that time she was “living, breathing, and dreaming” balloons. Prior to making balloon art, which was something she came up with during COVID-19, she was busy doing several jobs. Kara has been a chef, a barista, a dancer, and a singer and has been paid for all these jobs. She has also recorded audiobooks, done massage therapy, and “the list goes on and on.” When Kara was 20, she started traveling all over the world and has lived in four countries so far.

The “epitome of party girl at the highest level,” Kara happened to take a job that took her to the Dominican Republic, which helped her meet Guillermo. She was sitting at a table, working on her computer with her colleague when Guillermo offered the ladies some tequila shots. She didn’t reveal her job on 90 Day Fiancé, so a curious fan reached out to Kara on Instagram during a Q&A session. She added a screenshot to her work profile from MAU Productions, where she was the Vice President of Operations. Kara wrote that eventually, her role included event coordination for an annual conference in the Dominican Republic, which could explain her moving to Guillermo’s country before the pandemic.

As per their website, MAU Productions offers wholesalers photo and video content for use on websites and social media. “With these photos, we help wholesalers create stronger brand recognition in the highly competitive fashion industry,” reads the website. It also notes that 90 Day Fiancé star Kara is a talented musician and world champion Latin ballroom dancer. Kara has spent two years traveling in Asia singing and performing. “She brings an extensive entrepreneurial background to the MAU team,” says Kara’s bio.

As of now, Kara is almost entirely focusing on her real estate career. Balloons remain a fun artistic outlet for the Charlottesville, Virginia native. Some fans have spotted clues that suggest Kara and Guillermo are still together and got married in July 2021, so it could be time for the 90 Day Fiancé couple to celebrate their first anniversary when their wedding airs on the TLC show. It’s not known what job Guillermo is doing in America. But knowing that he’s just as hardworking and always learning new things just like Kara, fans can expect this power couple of 90 Day Fiancé to wow them with whatever they do in life.
