Ireland MOF Announces Support Measures for Businesses Affected by Coronavirus

The Irish Department of Finance Dec. 21 announced measures to support businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement includes measures to: 1) extend the employment wage subsidy regime until April 30, 2022; 2) amend the eligibility criteria for nightclubs and discotheques to 40 percent from 25 percent 2019 turnover reduction requirement, and extend the eligibility to new businesses established between Oct. 13, 2020, and July 26, 2021, under the restrictions support regime; and 3) extend the tax debt warehousing regime interest-free period from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023.
