Inside Court’s Tech Procurement Process: One Size Doesn’t Fit All

Two years ago, the pandemic thrust courts into using technology whether they liked it or not. At the time, like most workplaces, they were coping in every way possible—videoconferencing, text messaging, and accommodating digital evidence, among others.

Since then, however, some court technologists have worked to create more organized systems for tech adoption within their jurisdictions—complete with a hierarchy of decision-makers and veto powers.
