Imposter Factory revealed with a trailer and lots of confusion

To the Moon 3: Imposter Factory flew under the radar when it was revealed on Thanksgiving. Now that we have mostly emerged from our food comas and Black Friday extravaganzas, though, we can finally sit down and figure out what’s going on with the newly-announced third installment to the series. The reveal trailer below, courtesy of Kan Gao, clocks in at nearly four minutes long, and is sure to tell us lots about what’s in store for us, right?

Oh, I guess not. The trailer certainly gives us some details on the premise, but there are so many confusing elements that I’m not really sure what to make of any of it, including whether or not it’s actually To the Moon 3–what’s up with that question mark on the title screen? The video’s description leans into these unual vibes, stating that “Impostor Factory is a bonkers time-loop tragicomedy murder mystery sci-fi thriller with multiple casualties and a suspicious cat, from the creator of To the Moon.” That’s a lot to take in.

Currently, there is only a Steam page, and the official site for To the Moon 3: Imposter Factory does not reference any other consoles. However, with the original To the Moon slated for a January 2020 release on Switch, the rest of the series will hopefully make it over there eventually.
