Our client is a branded Irish consumer goods manufacturing company which sells its products in Ireland and international markets. The company has ambitious growth plans over the coming 3-5 years. Lansdowne Executive Search has been retained to recruit a Head of Supply Chain & Procurement with responsibility for bringing leadership and focus to the production and materials planning functions and for managing the company’s supply of raw materials, logistics, utilities and co-manufactured production.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Head of Supply Chain & Procurement will be part of the senior operations team and will be required to deliver best-in-class planning, inventory control and procurement techniques / systems to drive production efficiencies, cost improvement activities and the development of NAV Supply chain functionality. The appointed person will also have responsibility for the development and maintenance of all Customer Supply Chain relationships, ensuring that all plans and related communications are timely and accurate.
The role requires a person with a solid track record of achievement, who will provide strong direction and leadership to ensure that materials are planned and sourced in accordance with production forecasts and that strong supplier relationships are maintained.
The successful candidate will be a highly commercial leader and decision maker with excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal communications skills across all channels. He/she will have the capability to build solid, credible working relationships and will have a strong track record of devising and implementing innovative planning and procurement strategies.
We are seeking an influential and innovative person with a keen eye for detail and a passion for supply chain development. You will have significant abilities regarding teamworking and cross-functional collaboration to achieve goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant Degree, or equivalent and will have a clear aptitude for Supply Chain & Procurement methodologies. You will be experienced in leading supplier negotiations and will have a solid understanding of FMCG Planning Systems.
