The raid was conducted by the Hawks on Thursday.
The unit’s spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says the raid is connected to alleged Covid-19 procurement fraud valued at approximately R27 million.
“The operation follows investigations in relation to alleged Covid-19 procurement fraud wherein appointment of contractors and service providers were inconsistent with the requisite procurement regulations.”
