Hancocks closes depots

The wholesaler temporarily closed its 19 cash and carrys on 29 March in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Hancocks re-opened its Birmingham, Glasgow and Watford depots earlier this month following the successful trial opening of its Manchester cash and carry.

Hancocks said that it now has six depots stores open across the UK and will continue to open others in the coming weeks, in line with social distancing guidelines.

The company said: “Sadly, not all of our cash & carry sites will reopen, with four of our stores, Coventry, Stoke, Croydon and Reading permanently closed. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but assure you, as the UK’s leading confectionery wholesaler, we can still service your confectionery needs.”
