Govt will stop being involved in fuel procurement next year – Kapala

ENERGY Minister Peter Kapala says government will next year stop getting involved in the procurement of petroleum products and will simply be regulating the industry and collecting tax. Last week, the Energy Regulation Board increased the retail fuel pump prices by K3.54 for petrol and K4.56 for diesel. In an interview, Kapala said no government money would be used in the importation of fuel.
