Govt keeping watch on aid distribution, says Mujahid – Pajhwok Afghan News

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate says it is keeping a close watch on aid distribution to prevent injustice in the process.

The government’s spokesman said donor countries delivered aid to the Afghans through humanitarian organisations and the Taliban administration.

Unfortunately, Zabihullah Mujahid regretted, the distribution of assistance through humanitarian organisations involved serious problems

The government was closely monitoring the aid distribution process to foreclose possible negligence or injustice, Mujahid said.

On Monday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) delivered 30 tonnes of eatables in humanitarian aid to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Mujahid welcomed the UAE assistance, saying the aid consignment included 30 tonnes of food. The Arab country had promised to continue extending aid to the Afghans, he added.
