Govt issues notification regarding mandatory fitness of motor vehicles through automated testing station

Road Transport and Highways Ministry has issued a notification regarding mandatory fitness of motor vehicles through an automated testing station. The Ministry said, the mandatory fitness will be applicable for Heavy Goods Vehicles, Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles from 1st April next year onwards. While, for Medium Goods Vehicles and Medium Passenger Motor Vehicles, and Light Motor Vehicles, it will be applicable from 1st June 2024 onwards.
