GM TO INVEST $2 BILLION IN TENNESSEE FACTORY SO IT CAN BUILD ELECTRIC VEHICLES

(CNN) – General Motors is investing $2 billion in a Tennessee factory that will manufacture electric vehicles.

The Spring Hill plant will be equipped to build the new Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV.

This will be GM’s third factory for electric vehicles.

The company introduced the Cadillac Lyriq in August.

It is expected to go into production in 20-22.
