GISD Announces Meal Distribution For Kids During School Hiatus

As schools throughout Michigan close their doors in an effort to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus, the Genesee Intermediate School District is offering free meals for school-aged kids throughout the county.

Meals will be available at nine sites in Flint and Mt. Morris and will be served free of charge to Genesee County children. Times vary by location and may change without notice. Be sure to check the GISD’s website for updated times and locations.

Many families rely on school lunch programs in order to provide nutritious meals for kids each day. Governor Whitmer ordered the mandatory closure of Michigan’s schools until April 5.
