KARAK: Assistant commissioner Abdus Samad has sealed a factory operating in a house here in Rehmatabad area for manufacturing substandard ghee.
The AC said that he along with a police party raided a house in Rehmatabad where substandard ghee was being produced in an unhygienic condition.
He said that samples of the ghee were taken and the factory was sealed. He said that strict action would be taken against those producing low quality items and playing with the health of innocent people.
WORKERS DEMAND: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers have demanded of MNA Shahid Khattak to resolve basic problems of the area people on priority.
The demand was made in a meeting of PTI workers held here the other day with president of Union Council Isak Chountra, Ishwaq Khattak, in the chair. The workers asked the MNA to materialise all promises made with people of the district during the election campaign.
They urged the lawmaker to take practical steps for resolution of issues related to provision of gas, electricity and drinking water.
They said that the government had not released oil and gas royalty to the district for the last four years which was an injustice with the people of Karak. The workers formed a committee to meet the MNA and apprise him of the people’s issues.
