Gerry Weber reinforces supply chain and product with new execs appointments

German Gerry Weber boosts its team. The German company, specialized in womenswear, has appointed Alicia Cano as director of the supply chain and Xavier Casares as product planning manager.

With a bachelor in Engineering, Cano has a twenty years career in the sector after having worked for companies such as Mango, Kenkel or Novartis. Casares, meanwhile, has also developed his career in the fashion sector, in companies such as Mango, Privalia and Veepee.

With these appointments, the company aims to continue promoting its process optimization strategy. “I am convinced, that the specific expertise of our new colleagues will substantially promote our realignment and professionalization,” said Urun Gursu, chief executive officer of the group, in a statement.

Gerry Weber started a restructuring process at the beginning of the year, which resulted in the closure of 230 stores. Then, the company went to Robus Capital Management and Whitebox Advisors, and received an injection of fifty million euros.
