Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency announces 100,000 GEL co-financing grant competition

Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency has announced a 100,000 GEL co-financing grant competition for the sixth time.

The agency will finance startups with innovative and creative projects.

Economy Minister Turnava noted that the state supports developing startups and innovative ecosystems in the country.

In total, 96 startups have been funded in the past five competitions announced by the agency.

We have very successful examples when GITA-funded startups have attracted investments from private investors from Silicon Valley,” said Turnava.

The co-financing grant program of the Innovation and Technology Agency is implemented with the support of the World Bank’s National Innovation Ecosystem (GENIE) project, the goal of which is to develop innovative products and services with international potential in Georgia, to commercialize them and to stimulate the creation of innovative businesses.
