Fuel distribution reviewed – Minister


Minister Kanchana Wijesekara says that fuel requirements for the months of September and October and fuel distribution was reviewed with CPC & CPSTL this morning (3).

He further said that Fuel Stocks available in the country, Sapugaskanda refinery production, distribution plan, lapses & limitations were also discussed in the meeting held at the CPC premises on Saturday.

Considerable fuel queues have re-emerged in parts of Colombo, for which the Minister had previously attributed to distribution lapses and reiterated that are sufficient fuel stocks in the country.

Via a tweet, the Minister further said that non operating & non cooperating fuel stations, non placement & non payment of orders, fake & misuse of QR codes and also digitalizing the distribution system was discussed today with relevant authorities. (NewsWire)
