The Marshall County Health Department will be distributing free cotton masks to county residents who may have had difficulty in finding face coverings.
The health department recently received a shipment of about 14,000 cloth masks from the federal government’s “Project America Strong” program for distribution.
The distribution of the cloth masks will be held Monday and Tuesday at two locations in the county.
They will be distributed in front of John Marshall High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Monday. An additional distribution will be in front of Cameron High School from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday.
For residents to receive a mask for themselves or relatives, they must prove their residency with identification. The health department asks people only take a mask for themselves and those living with them in order for enough residents to receive them.
