Ford to Open Battery Factory in Turkey

Mar. 16, 2022—Ford announced it will partner with Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding to place a battery factory in Turkey, Daily Sabah reports.

The decision comes a week after Ford split its businesses into two divisions to serve gas-powered and electric vehicle markets.

Ford aims to make all its vehicles electronic by 2035 in a move to better compete with electric car pioneer Tesla.
