Footwear retailers team up to ensure kids get the right fit

The Fit Zone

Stride Rite is making its Fit Zone by Stride Rite digital fitting solution available at select Dillard’s stores.

Fit Zone by Stride Rite features a proprietary 3-D foot scanner the retailer says can collect 10 data points on a child’s feet in less than 10 seconds. The scanner then produces an accurate 3-D model of the child’s feet which an associate uses to help find the correct size and style of shoe.

“The expansion of the Fit Zone by Stride Rite in Dillard’s provides the opportunity for more consumers to experience Stride Rite’s cutting-edge technology,” said Alex Dillard, president of Dillard’s. “We are pleased to join our long-time partner Stride Rite to launch the Fit Zone by Stride Rite. This is yet another way we are providing premium customer experiences at Dillard’s – even for our youngest customers.”

The Fit Zone by Stride Rite is now available at 10 Dillard’s locations in Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.

Dillard’s operates 259 store and 30 clearance centers spanning 29 states. In addition to serving as a wholesaler, Stride Rite operates over 300 stores and leased departments inside Macy’s stores.
